The problem

Thousands of tokens launch every day. Most are traps.

On Solana anyone can create a token in seconds. The tell-tale signs of a rug are public on-chain, but nobody reads raw mint accounts before they buy. Argus does it for you.

  • Infinite mint

A live mint authority lets the deployer print new supply at will and sell it into your bid.

  • Frozen exits

A freeze authority can lock your token account so you can buy but never sell.

  • Hidden whales

A handful of wallets holding most of the supply can collapse the price in a single transaction.

  • Honeypots

Many buys and zero sells is the signature of a token engineered to trap buyers.

How it works

From address to verdict in four steps

No black box. Every score is built from data you can verify yourself on-chain.

  1. 01

    Paste a mint address

Copy the contract address from a chart, a tweet or the trending list. No account and no wallet needed.

  2. 02

    Argus reads mainnet live

We query Solana RPC for the mint account and largest holders, and pull real DEX liquidity, volume and pair data.

  3. 03

    Get a 0–100 safety score

Every check is weighted into one score with plain-English reasons, so you see exactly why a token passed or failed.

  4. 04

    Decide with confidence

Jump straight to the chart, Solscan or a Jupiter swap, or walk away from a trap before it costs you.

What we check

Every red flag, explained in plain English

Each scan runs a full battery of on-chain and market checks and returns a clear pass, warning or risk with the reason behind it.

  • Mint authority

Is supply fixed, or can new tokens still be printed?

  • Freeze authority

Can anyone freeze your balance and block sells?

  • Holder concentration

Top-10 share, with liquidity pools and burn wallets filtered out.

  • Liquidity depth

Total pool liquidity and its ratio to market cap.

  • Trade flow

Buy and sell counts that expose honeypot behaviour.

  • Token-2022 extensions

Permanent delegate, transfer hooks and hidden transfer fees.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Straight answers about what Argus does and does not do.

Does a high score mean a token is safe?

No. The score highlights known structural red flags. It cannot detect every scam, and a clean token can still lose value. Treat it as one input to your own research.

Where does the data come from?

Mint and holder data is read directly from Solana mainnet RPC. Liquidity, price, volume and pair age come from DexScreener. Both are fetched live on every scan.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

Never. Argus is read-only. It does not request wallet access, signatures or private keys.

Why do stablecoins like USDC show authorities?

Regulated issuers hold mint and freeze authority by design. Argus recognises major stablecoins and marks those checks as informational instead of penalising them.

Can I share a scan?

Yes. Every scan updates the page URL with the token address, so you can copy the link and anyone who opens it gets the same live report.

Check first. Trade second.

It takes five seconds and costs nothing. Make it a habit before every buy.
